GURUGRAM: A 27-year-old man has been booked for allegedly abducting, molesting and blackmailing a 25-year-old woman by misusing her pictures.According to the woman, she and Rahul Sharma, a native of Bihar, were friends till he started blackmailing her. On September 4, Rahul came to the woman’s office in Sector 55. He allegedly forced her to sit in his car after which he started thrashing and molesting her. He allegedly asked her to snap all ties with her fiance or face dire consequences. When she rejected this, he snatched her mobile phone and pushed her out of the car in Hauz Khas in Delhi.“He used my phone to call my fiance and abused him. He blackmailed me to transfer money to his account or threatened to forward my personal pictures, stored in my phone, to my fiance to tarnish my image in his eyes. I paid him the money. But on September 15, he forwarded pictures to my fiance and his family called off the wedding,” the woman said. An FIR was registered against Rahul under IPC sections 354 ( molestation ), 342 (wrongful confinement), 506 (criminal intimidation), 420 (cheating) at the Women’s police station on Wednesday.
