GURUGRAM: A 16-year-old girl from Delhi was allegedly raped by a person in a city hotel. According to her, the accused dropped her at a Metro station the next day and threatened her not to disclose it to anyone.The teenager shared her ordeal to her mother a week after she was sexually assaulted. Based on the complaint filed at the women's police station in Sector 51, police registered an FIR under section 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.The teen is a Class VIII dropout, and is working with her mother as domestic help. Youngest among the five siblings, the teenager is being raised by her single mother. Her father had died a few years ago.According to police, the complainant got in touch with Ankit Bhatia of Gurugram through one of her friends in June. They started talking to each other over phone. Ankit requested her to visit Gurugram and meet him, and she travelled to the city on October 8. "I reached Nizamuddin railway station from my home, and from there I took a cab booked by Ankit, and reached Gurugram. Ankit picked me up and took me to a hotel around 9pm," she said, adding that she didn't know the name of the hotel though she would be able to identify it.The teen alleged that after talking for some time, the accused started touching her inappropriately before raping her. The next day -October 9- he dropped her at a metro station and gave her ticket to New Delhi. Fearing for her life, she did not reveal her ordeal to anyone."Ankit continuously called me and threatened me not to talk about it," she said. However, unable to take it any more, she divulged it to her mother and brother on Tuesday. They rushed her to Gurugram and filed a complaint at the women's police station. "The medical examination of the girl confirmed sexual assault," said a cop at women's police station.
