GURUGRAM: A 39-year-old man was allegedly thrashed by three men, including one of his neighbours, in Laxman Vihar 1 area on Sunday night.Vivek Chaudhary, an IT engineer working at a private company in Sector 32, was returning home around 10.30pm on Sunday when he was attacked by the three men who were in an inebriated state. “I was attacked in the lane near my house without any reason. I could recognise Monu, who stays in the neighbourhood, among the three attackers,” Vivek said. Vivek’s wife, Rekha , who was at home with their two children when the attacked happened said, “I heard someone screaming, but didn’t realise that it was my husband. Our neighbours who had come to his rescue informed me that Vivek had been attacked by Monu and two others. There was no enmity between them. Vivek is still recuperating in the ICU and I want strict action against the culprits.”An FIR has been registered against the accused under sections 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapons ), 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (causing hurt), 379-B (snatching and use of force), 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Sector 9A police station.
