Ambala residents enjoy cool weather, traffic hit after first fog of season

AMBALA: The city Ambala witnessed season’s first dense fog for a few hours early Wednesday morning and residents were seen enjoying the cold conditions. The train traffic remained normal with only a few trains getting late by 10-15 minutes. Also, we have drawn a white line along the railway lines for making it convenient for the loco-pilots to run the operations without any problem.” In coming days, the train traffic will definitely remain hit due to dense foggy conditions, however, this time the railways have installed special devices in the loco-pilot room which will signal the pilot about the upcoming train station or the crossing. The traffic was also hit due to the fog and people were seen driving at a slow speed in order to avoid any untoward incident.On the other hand, the local residents were seen enjoying the first fog of the season, who said the winters had come early this year.Avtar Singh, a water supplier in Ambala, said, “I faced problem in delivering the water on time as we had to drive the auto at a speed of 20 kmph due to dense fog.”Manpreet Singh, a daily jogger, said, “I am enjoying the cold along with some hot tea after my daily walk.”A student from Ambala, who had his exam in Chandigarh said, “I am waiting for the bus.
