11 booked for Rajasthan youth’s murder in Hisar

HISAR: Police have booked 11 persons, including four brothers, for the murder of a 19-year-old Rajasthan student at Talwandi Rana village of Hisar on Monday.Belonging to Dhanoti village of Churu district of Rajasthan and pursuing BA final year in a state’s college, Pramod had come to Hisar to meet his friends, when he was shot. He said there were five-six youths standing nearby, who were armed with sticks and guns. Pawan alleged that land dispute between Lal and his other relatives was the cause of attack.According to Pawan, Atma Ram too fired his gun and injured him and Sunil. He fired another three-four rounds, Pawan alleged.Pramod was declared brought dead by doctors at the Hisar general hospital.Azad Nagar police station in-charge Sandeep Kumar said a case has registered against the accused but no arrests have been made so far. He said they attacked the father-son duo with sticks and when they (Pawan and Sunil) intervened, Chandiram fired from the gun and a bullet hit Pramod, who happened to be standing nearby and was neither involved the fight nor related to any of the parties.

Two others, Pawan Kumar of Talwandi Rana and his friend Sunil of Rawatkehra village, were injured in the incident and admitted to a private hospital in Hisar.Azad Nagar police have registered a case under sections 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapon), 149 (offence committed by members of rioting), 307 (attempt to murder), 302 (murder) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and under Arms Act on the complaint of Pawan, an accountant in Mahatma Gandhi hospital in Hisar city. The accused include Hansraj, Rajendra, Balla, Atma Ram (all brothers), Madan Lal and Chandiram (brothers) and some unidentified women — all residents of Talwandi Rana village.Pawan has alleged that on Tuesday evening, when his friend Sunil had come to visit him, he had taken him to the fields of his uncle Bansi Lal, who was working there along with his son, around 8pm. He said there were five-six youths standing nearby, who were armed with sticks and guns.
