GURUGRAM: The department of town and country planning ( DTCP ) has said action will be taken against illegal structures in DLF 1, 2 and 4.
“Department will inspect and issue notices to plot owners if additional construction was done after getting OC,” said Batth adding that action would be taken against the guilty.
In some of the cases, buildings were allegedly constructed for residential purposes but later used for commercial practices.“Such illegal constructions are a burden on the existing infrastructure like sewerage, roads and power supply of the colonies, thereby causing inconvenience to people living here,” said a resident of DLF 1.
These buildings are used as guest houses and sometimes leased out to app-based services, the resident added.District town planner (DTP) R S Batth said occupation certificates are given to only those buildings which are constructed as per the approved plans.
They also filed a complaint against unauthorised constructions done by plot owners and provided a list of such plots as well.“We would like to bring to your notice that some plot owners are illegally constructing their houses beyond the sanctioned plans,” DLF stated in its letter.DLF alleged that after plot owners get OC from the DTCP, they make additional constructions violating the approved building plans.
