Jobs for educated Haryana youth if elected: OP Chautala LADWA ( KURUKSHETRA ): Just two days after Mayawati-led BSP ended its alliance with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), former Haryana chief minister and INLD patriarch Om Prakash Chautala said his group was open to poll alliance with any political party ready to endorse its ideology. Interestingly, neither did he name Congress, BJP and AAP nor did he rule out any political party from this equation. In his 30-minute speech at the INLD party rally in Ladwa town of Haryana’s Kurukshetra district on Monday, the Chautala patriarch accepted the Jind bypoll result was unexpected. “But it is time to look forward to the next polls,” the 84-year-old, who was recently released from Tihar jail on a 21-day furlough, said. He, however, did not mention his grandson Dushyant Chautala, the Hisar MP, who broke away from the INLD and formed Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).Unlike earlier rallies and public meetings, the Chautala patriarch looked very low. While addressing the well-attended rally and urged the party workers to remain united if they wanted to form the next government in the state. “Ram ka 14 saal ka vanvaas thaa, Pandvon ka 13 saal ka and hamara 15 ka ho chukka hai, humein is baar zyada mehnat karni hai sarkar banane ke liye (Lord Rama spent 14 years in exile, Pandavas spent 13 years in exile, but we have been out of power for 15 years and we have to work hard this time to end our wilderness),” said the senior INLD leader.Chautala also said he had to go to jail because of a conspiracy for providing jobs to some 3,200 youths of the state. If voted to power, he said he would give jobs to all the educated youths of Haryana even if he is hanged for that. He urged people to ensure INLD victory in the assembly elections so that he can provide jobs to all educated Haryana youths as per their qualifications.Chautala and his elder son Ajay, a former MP, were convicted in the junior basic trained (JBT) teacher recruitment scam in 2013 and both were awarded 10-year imprisonment.Referring to end of INLD-BSP alliance, Chautala Senior said it is common to form new alliances and formation of new outfits in election season but INLD is not deterred by such developments. He, however, added that some people only cause loss to others for their self-interest.He described the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government as a “group of robbers” who are looting the state. Referring to Modi government, Chautala said all sections of the society are unhappy with the ruling party.“Similar circumstances were witnessed in 1977 when Jai Prakash Narayan and in 1989 when Devi Lal had managed to defeat the Congress party by leading a movement. But unfortunately, we don’t have similar kind of leadership this time,” he added.Addressing the gathering, INLD president Ashok Arora attacked the BJP for increase in petroleum prices and crimes against women in the state. He also claimed that the state largesse was being distributed to people from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Gaganjot Sandhu, son of former Pehowa MLA Jaswinder Sandhu who died recently due cancer, also addressed the rally.
