Developer resumes work on affordable housing project, ‘handover in 6 months’

GURUGRAM: Over 1,100 homebuyers who had invested in Apex Our Homes in Sector 37C may get possession of flats in the next six months as the developer has resumed the construction work.Delayed by over two years, the society — which comes under government’s affordable housing project — is spread over 10.25 acres and has 1,136 units in 26 towers. Being built by Apex Buildtech Ltd, the project was launched in 2012 and is 80% complete.TOI had on February 9 reported about the delay in the completion of the project and had highlighted the agony of the homebuyers, who have been shuttling between various government agencies, including H-Rera and DTCP , requesting their intervention for early completion of the project.A buyer, Nishant Bhardwaj, who recently visited the site said that the work had gained speed and there was hope that the builder would handover the flats to them soon. “We have been informed by the developer that some changes in the team were made to ensure early completion of the project.
