AMBALA: A bus driver and conductor of Haryana Roadways Yamunanagar depot were thrashed by some villagers for allegedly misbehaving with a woman on Tuesday.The driver, identified as Charanjit and conductor Gurmeet were on their duty and heading towards Ambala from Yamunanagar via Mullana on Tuesday evening. When they reached near Mullana, they got into a heated argument with a woman passenger onboard the bus.The bus reached Ambala, but the woman did not alight the bus and remained seated inside for the journey back to Mullana.When the bus reached near Mullana, the driver and conductor were confronted by some villagers and allegedly thrashed by them for misbehaving with the woman.In the meantime, another bus of Haryana roadways reached the spot, which somehow rescued the conductor and took him to Yamunanagar.Later, the villagers took the driver to Mullana police station where the woman filed a complaint.Investigation officer Pramod Kumar said, “Both parties have alleged against each other and we are investigating the matter. The driver was undergoing treatment at MMU Hospital from where he was referred to Ambala. The matter would be discussed tomorrow after calling both the parties.”
