Man rapes 16-year-old as friends keep watch

GURGAON: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man while his three friends kept a watch outside on Wednesday in Tighra village. The girl, who hails from UP and lives in Tighra village near Sector 56, works as a domestic help . She returned to her native place a month ago and lodged a complaint after finding out that she was pregnant. They forcibly took her to a government BPL flat where she was raped.The complaint said that one Javed raped her while his three friends stood outside, keeping a watch. An FIR was registered against Javed and the others under Section 6 of POCSO Act at Women police station.

GURGAON: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man while his three friends kept a watch outside on Wednesday in Tighra village. A total of three cases under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences ( POCSO ) Act were reported on Wednesday, two at Women police station and one at Sector 56 police station, highlighting the high rate of crime against women in the city.The Tighra village rape happened on Wednesday morning around 8:30 am. The girl, who hails from UP and lives in Tighra village near Sector 56, works as a domestic help . On Wednesday, she was on her way to work when she was stopped by four men. They forcibly took her to a government BPL flat where she was raped.The complaint said that one Javed raped her while his three friends stood outside, keeping a watch. However, the girl managed to escape and informed her father and they lodged a complaint with the police.A police team rushed her to a hospital for a medical examination. An FIR was registered against Javed and the others under Section 6 of POCSO Act at Women police station."The medical report of the victim is awaited. We are conducting raids to nab the accused," said inspector Kailash Devi , SHO, Women police station.In another case at Rajendra Park area, a 14-year-old girl claimed that she had stepped out of her house on Sunday night at around 11:30pm to go to the toilet when one Dev alias Manish nabbed her from behind and forced her into a deserted room. He proceeded to rape her and threatened to kill her when she resisted, before fleeing the spot. The victim was scared but she confided in her mother on Tuesday and they lodged a complaint with the police.In the third case, police have lodged an FIR against a man after getting a zero FIR from Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur police station. The 14-year-old complainant claimed that she had come to the city a few months ago and was staying with her aunt in Sector 56. Her cousin allegedly raped her multiple times when her uncle and aunt were not in the house. He also threatened to kill her if she talked. She returned to her native place a month ago and lodged a complaint after finding out that she was pregnant.
