GUWAHATI: In a joint operation by Assam Rifles under the Red Horns Division and Tezpur Police , one person armed with am AK-series rifle was nabbed from from Barchola village in the Dhekiajuli area of Sonitpur district on Tuesday .Defence PRO Lt Col Suneet Newton said based on specific inputs received from Tezpur Police regarding the presence of an armed individual in the Dhekiajuli area, a joint operation was launched on Monday night.
