Belagavi: Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India began operating its flight to Bengaluru from Belagavi on Wednesday. Sources said Alliance Air will initially run flights to and from Bengaluru thrice a week – on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.On Tuesday, the flight will reach the Belagavi Airport from Bengaluru at 5.05pm and depart at 5.35pm. Local MPs, MLAs, representatives of various local industrial bodies and district officials were pressing for air operations to be restored at Belagavi. On Wednesday and Saturday, the flight will reach Belagavi at 3.35pm and depart at 4pm.Spice Jet, which was operating five flights from Belagavi a month ago, shifted all flights to the Hubballi Airport which comes under the Udaan regional connectivity scheme of the central government.
