Belagavi: Three cooks sustained injuries after a pressure cooker burst in the kitchen of the Government High School in Nidagundi village of Raibag taluk on Wednesday noon.The injured are Shanevva Koli, 45, Shanta Naik, 37, and Shobha Galavi, 38, all residents of Nidagundi village. Two of them have been admitted in a private hospital in Miraj, Maharashtra, while the third one was admitted to Civil Hospital in Raibag taluk.A case was registered at Raibag police station. They have hospitalized.According to the sources in the police department, the women used to cook the midday meals at the government high school in Nidagundi.On Wednesday when they were preparing lunch, the cooker they were cooking sambar in burst, said a teacher in the school.All the three who were in the kitchen sustained severe injuries in the incident. Meanwhile, the block education officer visited the school.
