Hubballi: The Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Committee has decided to receive suggestions from the public about increasing polling during the Lok Sabha elections.If you have a good idea that will enhance voting percentage or create awareness among voters, then then you can share it with the district SVEEP committee SVEEP district chairman BC Satish told STOI that the administration was open for suggestions and ideas from the public. “We have put a step forward. If the ideas are good and can be implemented, we will implement them after taking permission from the Election Commission. Those who send good ideas will get appreciation from the administration,” he said.Dr Satish said, “Recently I went to a radio station to interact with voters and during the programme a visually challenged voter called over phone and said he can read braille and can cast his vote in the voting compartment without any help. He asked me how we can ensure he has voted to the candidate of his choice and requested to make VVPATs disabled friendly too,” he said.“His doubts really struck us hard and we assured him that his suggestion would be convened to the EC.
