But he was vehement and stood his ground, claiming that he is working in the interest of the Muslim community,” the sources said. While clarifying that no impeachment motion has been moved against Maulana Nadwi, a senior Board member expressed his doubts about the removal of the cleric. On Friday, Board secretary Maulana Rahmani clarified that the cleric had met the Art of Living founder in his personal capacity. “The Board has nothing to do with this meeting,” he said.
