Committee formed against private universities bill

By introducing the private university’s bill, the government has ignored educationists, intellectuals, teachers and students studying in public universities and colleges, the attendees pointed out. Student organisations including 22 student organisations including Progressive Democratic Students Union, All India Students Federation, Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika and Democratic Students Union among others, participated in the event.

About 30% of the State’s budget should be allotted to education sector, the committee demanded. “Government should take over all the existing private schools,colleges and universities in order to actualise the KG to PG free education for all,” said Prof. Chakradhara Rao. Prof. G. Haragopal was also part of the discussion.
