Solution unveiled to manage hopper menace to paddy crop
| Tuesday | 10th July, 2018
Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture division of DowDuPont, has launched Pexalon, a hopper management solution for paddy crop.
The product comes in the backdrop of farmers facing the menace of aggressive plant-hoppers attacking rice crop.
According to the release, Pexalon would help Indian rice-growers address the long-standing challenge of damaging pests, specifically the brown plant-hoppers and white-backed plant-hoppers.
Corteva Agriscience would become an independent, publicly traded company on completion of a previously announced spinoff by June 2019.
The problem has resulted in many cases of crop burning, loss of income and severe distress to farmers and their families, according to the company.
