For all the 15 constituencies of the district, the total enrolments by way of additions stood at 1,50,829, while a total of 51,132 names were deleted, clocking a net increase of 99,697 voters. As a result, the number of total voters has risen to 39,60,706, from the 38,61,009 listed on September 10. Claims and objections were invited for submission before September 25, and GHMC has received close to 1.94 lakh claims by 12 a.m. in the night. Of them, close to 1.47 lakh were enrolments, which have been added to the list. There were 6,700 claims for deletions and over 23,000 for transpositions. Final rolls published on October 12 have 20,61,015 male voters, 18,99,374 women voters, and 317 from third gender. No NRI electors were registered while service electors have been numbered at 280. Maximum number of electors have been added in Jubilee Hills constituency, at 14,860, and the least in Charminar at 5,198. Deletions were the most in Yakutpura, at 11,685 and least in Sanathnagar at 542. Jubilee Hills emerged as the biggest constituency in terms of votes, with the maximum registered voters, at 3,28,018, followed by Yakutpura with 3,22,485 voters. Officials in charge of preparing electoral rolls informed that about 50,000 claims were received after the due date of September 25, and they will be processed before publication of a second supplement to the voters’ list. The process will continue up to the day nominations are to be filed. Meanwhile, District Election Officer M.Dana Kishore informed that a mobile app will soon be released to know the polling station based on the EPIC number. He met the political party representatives in the city on Monday, and discussed the model code of conduct with them. He asked them to provide the list of booth level agents so that an awareness camp may be conducted for them together with the Returning Officers between October 20 and 25. Transfers of staff have been effected so that those working for over three years in Hyderabad, and those who declared Hyderabad as native place are moved to Medchal or Ranga Reddy districts, and staff from these two districts are brought here. Over 23,000 polling staff are needed, and efforts are on to get employees from other departments on deputation.
