Candidates are also facing dissent in fluorosis-affected mandals that have no regular drinking water. A senior TRS leader said Congress MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, if given Congress ticket, was likely to pose a challenge to Mr. Prabhakar Reddy. The fact that no disciplinary action was taken against him by the party was a likely indication of his nomination, said the TRS leader. As for affairs within the Congress, Palvai Sravanthi Reddy is also an aspirant for party ticket from the constituency, while the CPI is hoping to get this seat.
