Child rape survivor's dad seeks Prime Minister's helping hand

"The shameful incident of the four-year-old school girl rape has shook the society at large. There is no need to grant relief in the interest of justice," said Khaja Aijazuddin, lawyer for the survivor's family. HYDERABAD: Over a month after a four-year-old girl was raped by a supervisor inside a school in Tolichowki , her father on Monday wrote to PM Narendra Modi , seeking help to continue his daughter's education.According to the letter sent to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the victim's father said that following the incident, he had aborted plans to go overseas and join a new job, while financial help promised by the state government never arrived.He said that his daughter is still in depression and requested the PMO's intervention to provide educational and financial monetary relief to his daughter to continue higher education under the Centre's "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" scheme.He also demanded direction from the government to city police for appropriate action against the culprit, who is under judicial custody.
