Rajagopal justifies Bhatti’s appointment as CLP leader by Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad: Congress MLA from Munugodu Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy today welcomed the appointment of Madhira MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarkha as Congress Legislature Party leader by AICC president Rahul Gandhi. Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Rajagopal Reddy said that under the present circumstances appointment of Bhatti Vikramarkha was justified. Stating that his party suffered heavily due to electoral alliance with Telugu Desam party, Rajagopal Reddy observed that the recent Assembly elections in the State appeared like Chandrababu Naidu versus K Chandrashekhar Rao. Stating that his party leaders and cadre did not lose hope on the ensuring parliamentary polls, Rajagopal Reddy made it clear that none of his party MLAs would leave the party under any circumstances. He also said it was not proper to blame anybody for the poor performance of the Congress.

Claiming that there were some mistakes in the allocation of Assembly seats among the alliance partners, Komatireddy said that party supremo Rahul Gandhi would decide whether to continue the alliance with the TDP in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. Stating that his party leaders and cadre did not lose hope on the ensuring parliamentary polls, Rajagopal Reddy made it clear that none of his party MLAs would leave the party under any circumstances.
