TPCC to finalise LS tickets by February end

Another leader, Valle Narayana Reddy sought a ticket from Nalgonda constituency, while Bhukya Mangilal applied for Mahabubabad seat. On Monday, sitting MP Nandi Yellaiah applied for Nagarkurnool seat. HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) will finalise the list of Lok Sabha candidates by end of this month, said Congress Legislature Party leader, Mallu Bhatti Vikaramarka.Addressing a press conference on Monday at Gandhi Bhavan, he said clarity on poll alliance will come only by end of this month. AICC secretary Vasmshi Chand applied for both Malkajgiri and Mahbubnagar seats.NRI, Tirupati Reddy, who stays in USA, applied for Karimnagar seat. Ticket from the same seat was also sought by K Ramya Rao, niece of chief minister KCR.

Sources in the party said Congress received more than 150 applications from the state so far for Lok Sabha tickets.The highest number of applications have come for Nagarkurnool and Peddapalli (15 each), followed by Mahabubabad (10), Warangal (8), Malkajgiri (8), Nalgonda (5) and Hyderabad (5). On Monday, sitting MP Nandi Yellaiah applied for Nagarkurnool seat.
