Jagga blames Harish for water crisis in Sangareddy

He said there was no clarity on how much water Harish Rao has taken away from the Singhur dam illegally. Hyderabad: Congress MLA from Sangareddy Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy popularly known as Jagga Reddy on Thursday once again launched tirade against TRS leader T. Harish Rao alleging that the people of Sangareddy district were facing drinking water problems due to the former hostile attitude. He demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao intervene set right the mistakes committed by the officials of the state government at the insistence of Harish Rao. Jagga Reddy also urged the Chief Minister to send a team of officials to the site to take remedial steps. He also claimed that all the ground water in the dam hit rock bottom and no bore well was working in the Dam.

Speaking to mediapersons, Jagga Reddy alleged that the Manjeera River and Singhur dam have dried up causing multiple problems to the people of the district since the last 15 days. He said there was no clarity on how much water Harish Rao has taken away from the Singhur dam illegally. He demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao intervene set right the mistakes committed by the officials of the state government at the insistence of Harish Rao. He also claimed that all the ground water in the dam hit rock bottom and no bore well was working in the Dam. Jagga Reddy also urged the Chief Minister to send a team of officials to the site to take remedial steps. He also urged the CM to take steps for avoid problems to devotees of Edupayala Jatara. Commenting on the issue of non-appointment of any minister from the district, he said it was left to the discretion of the CM. He made it clear that he would not meet the CM directly on the issue.
