High Court for revaluation of Inter papers, seeks Govt reply

Hyderabad: On Inter results row, the High Court today directed the State government to hold revaluation of the examination papers of about three lakh students in Telangana State. The court directed the State government to come up with its opinion by Monday. When additional advocate general pleaded for two months time for revaluation, the court objected. The court also asked him as to why it needs that much time and sought reply on feasibility by next Monday. The court also directed the government to respond on the issue by next Monday.

Hyderabad: On Inter results row, the High Court today directed the State government to hold revaluation of the examination papers of about three lakh students in Telangana State. On a petition filed by Children Rights Association, the court took up hearing and asked the Intermediate Board to conduct revaluation of papers in less time and not two months as sought by the officials. The court also directed the government to respond on the issue by next Monday. When additional advocate general pleaded for two months time for revaluation, the court objected. The court also asked him as to why it needs that much time and sought reply on feasibility by next Monday. The court said it would look into the whole issue as the GO was issued to look into only about the functioning of the agency. On behalf of the petitioner, Advocate Damoder Reddy sought a judicial inquiry on the issue. The court rejected the plea saying it will not help the students any more. The court directed the State government to come up with its opinion by Monday. Source: NSS
