Hyderabad: Heavy rains lash the city; Bolarum records highest rainfall

Heavy rains lashed on Monday causing water logged in several parts of Hyderabad city. Photo:LaeeqHyderabad: On Thursday evening, heavy rainfall lashed the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad. According to the report published in Telangana Today, traffic problems were witnessed at Abids, Basheerbagh, Banjara Hills, Yousufguda, Punjagutta, Ameerpet, Khairatabad, Dilsukhnagar and other areas. In order to resolve the waterlogging problem, Mr. M. Dana Kishore, GHMC Commissioner instructed the officials to use static pumps. It may be mentioned that Bolarum received the highest rainfall of 29.5 mm whereas, Banjara Hills and Asifnagar received rainfall of 27.5 mm and 26.5 mm respectively.
