Shifting of Chanchalguda jail at brisk pace

Hyderabad: The Chanchalguda jail will be moved to Cherlapally Prisoner’s Agriculture Colony (PAC) soon. Chanchalguda jail is spread over just about 30 acres, while the proposed premises in Cherlapally would be constructed on sprawling 100 acres with state-of-the-art facilities with the cost of Rs 490 crore. The existing PAC at Cherlapally will be shifted to Shahabad in Ranga Reddy district. The jail area would be utilized for housing a Minority Residential School.
