PIL against giving Pologrounds to Secretariat

The PIL was filed by former Director-General of Police M.V. The bench was dealing with cases filed by these employees who were relieved by TS but are not welcome in AP. A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in Hyderabad High Court, challenging the reported decision of the Centre to use Bison Polo grounds for construction of secretariat, acceding to the decision of the Telangana Government. They raised various issues and the case is likely to be listed for Tuesday. After several rounds of litigation orders have been passed that they shall be paid salary.

The PIL was filed by former Director-General of Police M.V. Bhaskar Rao, cricketer Vivek Jaysimha, chartered accountant T. Bharadwaj and former squadron leader Anil Bhalla. They raised various issues and the case is likely to be listed for Tuesday. Another case was filed by a senior advocate, seeking a direction to the Union of India to decide expeditiously appointments to judge posts in the Hyderabad High Court. It is claimed that the collegium had already recommended the names and the ball is now in the court of the Central government and this could not be postponed indefinitely. ‘Settle power staff issue’ A division bench of Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice MSK Jaiswal on Friday said that the governments of Telangana and AP should sit down and take a decision regarding the fate of 1,242 employees of various power utilities who were relived from Telanagana and asked to report at AP. The bench was dealing with cases filed by these employees who were relieved by TS but are not welcome in AP. After several rounds of litigation orders have been passed that they shall be paid salary. Now all of them are given salary bot no work is given to them. The cases were placed before the specially constituted bench. The case is adjourned to September 22.
