Government gears up for Moharram, review meeting held

A meeting was held to review arrangements being made for Moharram in which Mahmood Ali asserted that importance would be given to sanitation. Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that effective measures will be taken by the government during the month of Moharram. Mr. Mahmood Ali revealed that road repair works along the procession routes will be done on priority basis. He said state government will ensure all facilities for Muslims observing Moharram. The government is also speaking to the departments concerned about the Bibi Ka Alam procession, he said.

A meeting was held to review arrangements being made for Moharram in which Mahmood Ali asserted that importance would be given to sanitation. He further informed that GHMC would also set up mobile toilets. Round-the-clock power supply will be ensured with 10 distribution transformers. Government has released Rs 50 lakh for repairs to the Ashoorkhanas. Mr. Mahmood Ali revealed that road repair works along the procession routes will be done on priority basis. The government is also speaking to the departments concerned about the Bibi Ka Alam procession, he said.
