Chief Secretary SP Singh today directed that the officials should make necessary arrangements for the conduct of Maha Bathukumma event as part of flowers festival of Bathukamma to be organised at LB Stadium on September 26. The prestigious floral festival should be conducted on a grand note using wide publicity through hoardings, social media he said. Singh held a high level review meeting with officials at Secretariat here and asked them to ensure that Maha Bathukamma festival is conducted in a hassle-free manner as about 40000 women from districts will be participating in the event. Keeping their movement in view, officials of various departments should make arrangements in advance, he said. Necessary steps needed for smooth flow of traffic, sanitation, bandobast, tight security, traffic regulation, arrangements for water pockets, mobile toilets, barricades, sign boards, buses, uninterrupted power, medical, LED Screen, public address system. He also informed that as part of the Saddula Bathukumma on September 28, about 200 women will go in a rally to Tank Bund and form 30 groups to play Bathukumma, he said. GHMC Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy, City Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy, HMDA Commissioner T Chiranjivulu, and other senior officials has participated at Secretariat. (NSS)
