Virtual platform on doctor services launched

DocOnline, a virtual platform providing access to doctor consulting services, on Monday announced the launch of its services for the B2C market in Telangana. Under the B2C segment services, an individual can avail unlimited consultation services at an introductory price of ?700 per month that covers up to three family members. Addressing presspersons at the launch here, CEO and co-founder Markus Moding said by end of 2018, the services would be launched in five more cities and a few cities abroad. Launching the service for the B2C segment, Industries and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan highlighted the growth potential of the product and the benefits it offers to users. An investment of $1 million has gone into the venture, through private venture funding.

The venture, which already has 15,000 paid users in the B2B (corporate) segment or roughly around 60,000 customers, rolled out the operations in June 2017. An investment of $1 million has gone into the venture, through private venture funding. Pune is the next city where DocOnline, which is backed by Sweden-based entrepreneurs and investors, is planning to expand operations. Addressing presspersons at the launch here, CEO and co-founder Markus Moding said by end of 2018, the services would be launched in five more cities and a few cities abroad. Launching the service for the B2C segment, Industries and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan highlighted the growth potential of the product and the benefits it offers to users. Such online consultation facilities (with general practitioners), he added, would over time reduce the burden on hospitals and result in better utilisation of the expertise of specialist doctors. COO Rahul Paith said the portal primarily provides cover for all pre-hospitalisation needs. CTO Sai Prasad Chakkilam the portal can be accessed even by those with feature phone. Under the B2C segment services, an individual can avail unlimited consultation services at an introductory price of ?700 per month that covers up to three family members.
