Mhow convocation June 15 Army gets 20 new technical officers

Mhow: Twenty students were awarded certificates at the graduation ceremony of Technical Entry Scheme (TES-29) course on the premises of Military College of Telecommunication Engineering ( MCTE ) in Mhow on Friday.MCTE commandant Lt Gen Rajeev Sabherwal was chief guest. New aspects of warfare like fifth dimension warfare and information warfare are the major challenges.“Man behind the machine will always be of paramount importance. He said that with changing nature of warfare across the world, the role of the Army was also changing.

Deputy commandant and chief instructor Maj Gen Pritam Bishnoi was special guest. Faculty of Communication Engineering (FCE) commander Brig Deepak Malhotra shed light on the course. It was followed by invocation of graduating officers into the fraternity of engineers by Lt Gen Sabherwal. Thereafter, Maj Gen Bishnoi administered pledge to the engineers to utilize their knowledge for the glory of Army , progress of the country and mankind.Addressing the students, Sabherwal focused on importance of converged communication and its implementation through several initiatives in the country. He said that with changing nature of warfare across the world, the role of the Army was also changing. New aspects of warfare like fifth dimension warfare and information warfare are the major challenges.“Man behind the machine will always be of paramount importance. An officer's endeavor should be first to become a good human being and a leader of soldiers apart from being a good technocrat,” Sabherwal said. He exhorted the passing out officers to keep pace with the changes in technology, especially in the field of information and communication and always strive for professional growth.Maj Gen Bishnoi proposed the vote of thanks.
