Man decapitated in Ujjain attackers take away his head

INDORE: Unidentified persons decapitated a man and threw his body on the roadside in Ujjain district on Monday. A case of murder was registered against unidentified persons and attempts were on to trace the accused. He was recently accused of luring a married woman, but the matter got settled in a panchayat meeting. The police deployed a sniffer dog to find the missing head. The body was found in village Jiyajiganj, spreading panic in the area.

A motorcycle used by the deceased was also recovered near the body, Unhel police station in-charge RS Romde told reporters.The police identified the deceased as Rajesh Nath , a 30-year-old labourer, on basis of the registration number of the motorcycle. Nath’s family claimed that he had left for work on Sunday afternoon, Ramde said adding he apparently was attacked when he was returning home late in the night.“The attackers used sharp-edged weapons to chop off his head. A portion of his shirt collar was also cut in the attack,” he said. Forensic experts found signs of struggle at the scene of crime. The police deployed a sniffer dog to find the missing head. The canine moved around 100 meters away from the body to bushes, where a dead bird was found – leading to a dead end.Police have collected mobile phone call details of the deceased to check his movements before his murder. Nath was separated with his wife several years ago. He was recently accused of luring a married woman, but the matter got settled in a panchayat meeting. Police are in the process of interrogating the husband of the woman. A case of murder was registered against unidentified persons and attempts were on to trace the accused.
