Man kills decapitates labourer in MPs Ujjain

INDORE: In a sensational twist to a murder mystery, a man considered to be the decapitated victim found on the roadside in Ujjain district , turned out to be the killer. Frequent calls were made to the phone of one Fotari Bai, 28, a resident of Jiyagigarh.Police traced the phone and caught Rajesh making the phone calls. They drank with Lucky and when he was inebriated, killed him.

INDORE: In a sensational twist to a murder mystery, a man considered to be the decapitated victim found on the roadside in Ujjain district , turned out to be the killer. The man, with the help of his two friends, had killed an innocent labourer , put his clothes on the deceased and hidden the head to assume the identity of the victim.The murder was planned and executed to fool the village panchayat that had passed a stricture against him and his paramour – a married woman – from seeing each other.The decapitated body was found on August 13 in village Jiyajigarh, spreading panic in the area. Villagers had identified the deceased as Rajesh Nath, 30, on basis of the clothes and shoes. Rajesh’s motorcycle was also found at the crime scene.Police could not find the missing head, thus the focus of investigations turned on to the mobile phone owned by Rajesh, Ujjain superintendent SachiN Atulkar told reporters.The cyber cell of the police found that the mobile phone was active. Frequent calls were made to the phone of one Fotari Bai, 28, a resident of Jiyagigarh.Police traced the phone and caught Rajesh making the phone calls. He and Fotaru Bai were brought to Unhel police station, where during interrogation, Rajesh confessed committing the crime to adopt a new identity.“The accused committed the crime with the help of two friends, who after the murder, remained in the village pretending nothing has happened,” Atulkar said.Police rounded up Rajesh’s friends – Rahul Nath and Sanjay Nath. Both confessed killing one Lucky – a labourer.The accused had meticulously planned the murder of the labourer Lucky, who had the same height and weight as Rajesh. They drank with Lucky and when he was inebriated, killed him. Rajesh exchanged clothes with Lucky and chopped off his head.Police later recovered the head buried in the ground near the village.Investigations revealed that Rajesh had eloped with Fotari Bai a year ago. The village panchayat had slapped a fine on Rajesh and forced the woman to return to her husband Guddu Nath.Rajesh wanted to be with Fotari Bai, thus he cooked up the plan to assume a different identity and again elope with the woman, Unhel police said.
