Indore: The district administration has planned to implement roster system for the tableaux taken out by ex-labourers of closed cotton mills in the city during Anant Chaturdashi procession.While chairing a meeting of peace committee ahead of festive season, district collector Nishant Warwade said that the roster system can help in solving issues raised Ganesh Utsav samiti of different mills.During the meeting, labourer leader Harnam Singh Dhariwal appealed the administration to ensure that order of taking out ‘jhanki’ and ‘akhada’ is maintained. They said that any mismanagement in it can cause loss of hundreds of litres of diesel, which is used to illuminate the tableaux, and result in disarray and resentment among the organisers.He alleged that in 2017, a tableau was stationed on the procession route for three hours since organisers were waiting for Kailash Vijayvargiya. The tableau of BJP leaders blocked the route and all the tableaux behind it failed to move forward for next three hours.Refuting Dhariwal’s allegations, BJP leader Harinarayana Yadav said that the tableaux behind their tableau were given enough space to go ahead. As the arguments escalated, the collector intervened and assured the organisers to make better arrangements for success of the procession.The members suggested making elaborate arrangements of lighting and security at the procession route. DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra said that DJ and loudspeakers in the procession will be checked, while civic body will ensure that the advertisements on the procession route not pose any hurdle. He said that extra vehicles will be hired by police to for night patrolling.The collector has instructed to include experts, former khalifa and ustaad from akhada in the committee, which will judge the tableaux.During the meeting, shahar qazi Dr Ishrat Ali said that Dol Gyaras and Muharram could fall on the same day and in that case timing or route of taking out procession by both the communities should not clash. Also, Bohra community members demanded elaborate security arrangements during stay of Syedna Alikadar Mufaddal Saifuddin in Indore.
