"Indore has a rich legacy of culture, religion and tourism and we are proud of it. During the event, people were also urged to pay attention towards their health for which an aerobics session was organized. The festival will be celebrated during weekends throughout the month, wherein tourism department will take people for walk in Sarafa, Chhappan Dukan, Krishnapura Chhatri, Central Museum and other prominent places of Indore and will inform them about its history and importance.

INDORE: With an aim to encourage tourism and seek public contribution to preserve heritage structures of Indore MP Tourism Board on Saturday started City Walk festival from Lal Bagh palace.District collector Nishant Warwade, Indore Tourism Promotion Council secretary Vishnupratap Singh Rathore with other government officials participated in the programme and took stock of amenities at Lal Bagh palace, learnt about its history and importance. Officials said that the festival would generate public awareness and encourage the cultural, heritage, religious and eco-friendly tourism in Indore. During the event, people were also urged to pay attention towards their health for which an aerobics session was organized."Indore has a rich legacy of culture, religion and tourism and we are proud of it. We need to educate the next generation about the same and in this regard, events like City Walk will be of great help," collector said.He added that Indore's Sarafa food zone has made its identity at national-level and efforts will be made to include it in UNESCO list.
