The weekend extravaganza at IIM Indore

The competing teams from IEHE college Bhopal, won both the first and the second position making the visit worthwhile for them. Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mangalore, Bhopal and much more, yes, that’s how many cities performers converged in Indore for Indian Institute Management ( IIM ) Indore’s annual fest Atharv. “We prepare and wait for an entire year for IIM festivals, because everyone knows they are the best in the country. The cultural, literary and management fest which is held every year on the campus kicked off with great enthusiasm and fun amidst the student folk.The first day saw a lot of fun and games and splendid theatre performances by Nukkad natak crews from various cities. By the evening , all the competition was forgotten as everyone gathered to groove to music sensation Arjun Kanungo’s live concert.

The cultural, literary and management fest which is held every year on the campus kicked off with great enthusiasm and fun amidst the student folk.The first day saw a lot of fun and games and splendid theatre performances by Nukkad natak crews from various cities. “We prepare and wait for an entire year for IIM festivals, because everyone knows they are the best in the country. Moreover, we get to meet similar minded artistes from across the country under one roof” shared Rishika Khare, a participant from Bhopal. Halla Bol, the nukkad natak competition and Vanity – the ramp walk event remained the highlight of the first day.The second day called for finale of the previous days’ events and the final round of Vanity was judged by Femina Miss India second runner up Shreya Rao. Pooja Singh who won the prize in one of the ethnic wear rounds shares, “It was so great to be awarded prize by a Shreya Rao, and to make a mark upon her amidst so many better contestants from all over the country. I’m thrilled really!” This was quickly followed by Delirium, a band music competition, which again raised the bar of enthusiasm among all assembled.The excitement and fervour of students reached the highest crescendo on the final day which saw dance offs and pro night. The group dance competition of course was the event that most of the participants looked forward to. By the evening , all the competition was forgotten as everyone gathered to groove to music sensation Arjun Kanungo’s live concert. As he belted out some of his popular party numbers like ‘Baaki Baatein peene Baad’, ‘Gallan Tipsiya’ among others, the students cheered and danced away till midnight. “One of the best live concerts I’ve been to in this year, Arjun just killed it with his cult song performances!” said Yash Mehra, a participant from Mumbai.Pics credit: Arpit Joshi
