Give chance again, will rid state of poverty: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

INDORE: Ahead of the assembly polls, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday sought support from the voters of Sanwer constituency to help form BJP government in MP for the fourth time. Chouhan toured Sanwer, Kannod and Khategaon under his Jan Ashirwad Yatra on Monday.He said if voted to power his government will help rid the state of poverty by 2022-23. "Mr Bantadhar, the then CM of MP Digvijay Singh, had left only potholes in the roads at the time when BJP came into the power. Besides, there are schemes for providing higher education, financial assistance for treatment, performing last rites," Chouhan said. The yatra started with a delay of about 1.5 hours at Kannod at around 2.30pm where Chouhan addressed the gathering from the top of the rath.

"We have registered around 2.24 crore 'poor' under 'Sambal Yojana' across the state. These people are eligible for benefits including wheat and rice at the price of Rs1/kg, power connection at Rs200/household and Rs16,000 on delivery of child. Besides, there are schemes for providing higher education, financial assistance for treatment, performing last rites," Chouhan said. He added his government has decided to provide pukka house to the every (eligible) family by 2022-23."We will ensure that the state will be free from poverty by the 75th anniversary of independence (2022-23)" the CM claimed while addressing a gathering of around 10,000 people in Mangliya.Continuing his tirade against Congress Party and its leaders, Chouhan said that Indira Gandhi and Congress Party had given a slogan of 'Garibi Hatao' but to no avail, but when his party is actually working on this agenda, they are creating obstacles. "Congress leaders have objected to implementation of 'Sambal Yojana' and electricity bill waiver scheme (in which, the CM claimed that around Rs6,000 crore of pending bill of around 77 lakh households have been waived off) by complaining to the election commission citing it's a violation of model code of conduct" Chouhan said. After Indore 's Super Corridor, the chief minister claimed that one of the recently developed roads under Sanwer constituency is no less than that in USA's."Mr Bantadhar, the then CM of MP Digvijay Singh, had left only potholes in the roads at the time when BJP came into the power. We have constructed a network of roads across the state," the CM said.He also levelled allegations on senior Congress leaders including Digvijaya Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kamal Nath by calling them as 'Raja', 'Maharaja' and 'Industrialist' for conspiring against him in their bid to stop him becoming CM for the fourth terms."The trio is worried as they think that how a farmer's son can become the CM for 13 years," Chouhan said.He also emphasized on linking Narmada River with other waterbodies of Malwa Region including Kshipra and Gambhir River as an important project to eradicate the problem of water shortage.From Mangliya chief minister left for Kannod by helicopter to hold the Janashirvada Yatra. The yatra started with a delay of about 1.5 hours at Kannod at around 2.30pm where Chouhan addressed the gathering from the top of the rath.
