MP: IDA submits reply in Sayaji Hotel lease cancellation case

The SDM court had issued notices to the hotels and summoned them before the court. The hotel then sought copies of the eviction application and any other documents submitted by the IDA before the SDM court.The next hearing in the matter will be made before the SDM court in second week of December. The IDA also said that there was no need for a separate application for stay to be decided and hence it must be dismissed.The application by the IDA for eviction of Sayaji Hotel had been submitted before the competent authority as per the MP Lok Parisar Bedakhli Adhiniyam- SDM (Vijay Nagar) two weeks ago. Meanwhile, the writ appeal filed by the Sayaji Hotels before the high court challenging the order upholding termination of the lease deed will be heard in the next week.The Sayaji Hotel’s lease deed had been cancelled after they had been found violating the lease conditions by dividing the plot allotted to them under hotel and accommodation land use -- into a hotel and a commercial land – and selling 35 shops built over a piece of their land.The Sayaji hotel has claimed that they had repurchased the shops and had rectified their mistake, hence no action should be taken against them.
