Not demanding ticket for son, says Vijayvargiya

INDORE: BJP general secretary and Mhow MLA Kailash Vijayvargiya on Tuesday denied allegations that he has been demanding ticket for his son Akash Vijayvargiya and encouraging nepotism in the party.“I have not sought ticket for my son but in the party’s survey, he has emerged as a prospective candidate from four constituencies of Indore ,” Vijayvargiya told mediapersons, while handling his family business of a grocery store during Diwali festivities. “If they find my son to be the ‘right’ candidate, he can be given ticket,” he said.“Family members of any politician can enter in politics and demand ticket by proving themselves,” said Vijayvargiya, dismissing allegations of nepotism in BJP and also slammed Congress for allegedly endorsing dynastic politics. The party president is polluting the political atmosphere by using unparliamentary language”.While dealing with customers at the family’s store, Vijayvargiya sold grocery items as per price list pasted there while many people of his locality also turned up to meet him and wish him on Diwali. He added that the party will take the final call. “In Congress, only Gandhi family runs the party while their political eligibility does not matter.”Speaking about BJP delaying announcement of candidates, the party general secretary said, “The list of remaining candidates is likely to come in a day.” Continuing his tirade against AICC president Rahul Gandhi for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘thief ’ in public gathering, Vijayvargiya said, “Congress uses such language.
