At Rajoda bypass near Dewas jail, the truck carrying bananas overturned on the check post, where a policeman and an engineer were sitting. Their 12-year-old son, Dhruv, sustained serious injuries.Payal and her family had gone to her mother’s house in Katju Nagar of Ratlam and they were returning to Dewas when the accident took place. Before they could be rescued from under the truck, they had succumbed.Senior officials reached the spot as soon as the news about the accident spread. The pick-up was on its way to Indore from Ratlam when the accident took place.In another accident, an engineer and a policeman were killed after they were mowed down by a speeding truck in Dewas. The deceased were identified as 43-year-old Neeraj and his wife Payal Vyas, residents of Karmchari Colony.

Indore: Three major road accidents claiming six lives and injuring a minor were reported in Dhar, Dewas and Ratlam districts of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.A driver Naeem Mansuri and a cleaner Shailendra Jamra of a pick-up vehicle were killed in collision with truck on Mathan road in Badnawar town of Dhar district. The pick-up was on its way to Indore from Ratlam when the accident took place.In another accident, an engineer and a policeman were killed after they were mowed down by a speeding truck in Dewas. The truck was removed from the place and traffic was eased within an hour of the accident.Constable Kamal Singh Pargi and police housing sub-engineer Kunwar Singh Dawar were killed in the accident. Both of them were a part of the special surveillance team which was deployed at the check post.Police said that the bodies were sent for postmortem and a case was registered.In Ratlam, a couple from Dewas was killed and their son was injured after the four-wheeler they were riding on was hit by a truck on Indore-Neemuch road at Salakhedi square around 3:45 pm. The deceased were identified as 43-year-old Neeraj and his wife Payal Vyas, residents of Karmchari Colony.
