IMC orders to withhold one increment of zoo in-charge

INDORE: The Indore Municipal Corporation IMC ) commissioner on Tuesday issued directions to withhold one increment of zoo in charge Uttam Yadav following a departmental inquiry conducted into the allegations of irregularities and flouting of zoo rules at Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya.Central Zoo Authotiry (CZA) had earlier recommended disciplinary action against Yadav after it found the zoo in charge improperly handling wild animals including tiger and lion cubs at the Indore zoo and posing for pictures with them. The photographs showed a labrador dog in the same enclosure as a tiger cub and the big cat being clicked with mediapersons and zoo in charge Uttam Yadav.The CZA in its order had recommended that disciplinary action be taken against the zoo in charge for the violations and had also issued showcause notices to the IMC commissioner over some other irregularities with regard to physical handling of animals in captivity and incorrect information of the zoo published on the website and submitted in annual report to CZA.
