Indore: The long wait for 172 plot owners of Nyay Nagar Extension finally came to an end with district authorities making demarcations for plots on Friday.The distribution of documents regarding possession of the plots to owners is expected to be done on Saturday.Vijay Nagar sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Shringar Shrivastava visited the colony and helped plot owners identify their plots by demarcating boundaries.Earlier, the collector had handed over possession of plots to 198 persons in the first phase.At present, all 370 plots have been deemed undisputed."In the third phase, we will hand over possession to the remaining 807 persons as there are 1,177 owners waiting for to get possession of their plots. IMC has already been instructed to remove illegal constructions from the spot," Shrivastava said.Sanjay Shah, owner of plot 260-B, said he was a member of the society and had bought the plot in 2001 but could never get ownership."This is one of the happiest moments in my life as I had lost all hopes but ultimately the administration came forward as a saviour and helped us get possession," Shah told TOI.The owner of plot 324-B, PN Dwivedi, expressed similar feelings as he was one of the many owners who had been waiting for more than 15 years."I waited for more than 15 years to get possession of the plot," Dwivedi said.District collector P Narahari and MLA Mahendra Hardiya will hand over possession documents to the plot owners.Narahari has made an appeal to the members of Nyay Vibhagh Karmachari Society to check their names in the list that has been affixed outside the society's office and at the cooperative department's office.He added those names that are there on the list can come and take their possession documents. Names not mentioned were asked to approach Shrivastava with their plot documents for further action.
