MGM medical college seeks National Health Mission help to rebuild unit for newborn

"At the time of developing the unit in 2010-11, NHM had spent around Rs 70 lakh on the civil work and medical equipment. INDORE: MGM medical college has approached National Health Mission (NHM) for reconstruction of Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) at MY Hospital that was reduced to ashes in a major fire that broke out in the ward around two weeks ago.We have written to NHM for reconstruction of the unit and it got approved. In next couple of days, the department will send an engineer for preparing estimate of the unit" college dean Dr Sharad Thora told TOI.He said that the engineer will submit estimate of the civil work as well as requirement of procuring medical equipment, which were destroyed on November 23.
