Bridge collapses in Madhya Pradesh's Jhabua, halts traffic

INDORE: Traffic came to a halt on Jhabua-Ratlam road when a bridge collapsed near Asliyakhedi village in Jhabua district on Saturday.No injuries were reported as the bridge constructed over a dry rivulet collapsed, Jhabua superintendent of police MC Jain told reporters.Long queues of vehicles formed on both the sides of the bridge as the road was completely blocked. Vehicles remained stranded as police attempted to divert the traffic on smaller roads The bridge collapse cut off movement to several villages in Jhabha and Ratlam.There is another state highway that connects villages and towns located on both sides of the bridge. Police were attempting to move the vehicles on the alternative route.
