Man thrashed choked to death over donation scuffle

Kota: A 52-year-old man in Nayagaun village of Mothpur police station of Baran district was late on Saturday evening chocked to death by six persons after a scuffle erupted on the share of donation for the renovation work of community temple in the village. Nayagaun is a village with majority of Meena community and a meeting over renovation work of community temple was underway Saturday evening in temple premises when a scuffle between the deceased Dhanraj and Bhimsen Meena erupted over the share of donation for the expenses to the renovation work. “The community members were asked to extend donation in accordance to the land they own and the accused Bhimsen alleged Dhanraj had concealed the facts about his ownership of the land and made very little donation,” the SHO said.Following the scuffle between two, Bhimsen’s three sons, one of his grandsons and a caretaker of agriculture land reached the temple premises late on Saturday evening and the six thrashed and beat Dhanraj. Police have lodged a case of murder against the six, however none of them have been arrested as the investigation into the matter is underway.The body was handed over to the family members on Sunday morning after post-mortem at government hospital in Atru town of Baran district.“The deceased was identified as Dhanraj Meena (52), a resident of Nayagaun village of the police station,” SHO at Mothpur police station Dalpat Singh said. One of the sons identified as Hansraj Meena reportedly chocked Dhanraj Meena’s throat while the other five held his arms and legs, he said adding Dhanraj collapsed unconscious on the spot and was immediately rushed to government hospital at Atru town where the doctors declared him brought dead.“On the report, by son of the deceased man, police have lodged a case under section 302 of IPC against Bhimsen Meena, his three sons identified as Hansraj, Jaswant, Ramlal, his grandson Rahul and agriculture land caretaker Kamal Saheriya,” the SHO said.None of the six accused has been arrested so far as the investigation into the matter is underway and post-mortem report in the matter is yet to be received.
