JMC started constructing roads in one of the approved colonies, but it has been eight months and it is still not complete. There are about 37 colonies and only three are approved by JMC.

People have complained that the roads are so clogged that there is no place to walk and elderly people are facing extreme difficulty in commuting.is one of the areas in the city that are being transferred from rural to urban. Even after coming under the Jaipur Municipal Corporation JMC ), the development work is very slow. The residents living in the area are fighting for direct Bisalpur line for a long time., president of Jan Hitworking for the people insaid, “Government is not concerned about us. There are about 37 colonies and only three are approved by JMC. Its been 15 years and nothing has been done by the government either in the approved colony or in the unapproved hamlets of the area. JMC started constructing roads in one of the approved colonies, but it has been eight months and it is still not complete. Until proper roads are constructed, we request JMC to make some temporary arrangements for the convenience of the people.”However, JMC officials have been shrugging away their liabilities and said that work was under progress but as the area was recently transferred to Urban, there had been some halt.Deputy mayor of the citysaid, “We have allotted Rs 3 crore to every ward for construction of roads and the work will begin soon. However, as the area was earlier rural, it will take some time to develop it.”
