Jaipur: It appears that arms and weapons are easily available and three murders in the Jaipur police district (west) also add to the fact that there is presence of some arm dealers in the area too. The police in this district of Jaipur police commissionerate have not been able to solve past two cases of murder including one of a property dealer in July and one of a CA aspirant in July, and now the murder of a bank manager is new challenge for them.In this year so far the Jaipur (West) especially the Kardhani and Jhotwara police stations have witnessed murders by firing opened by assailants.The murders of CA aspirant and property dealer are still the mystery for the police.“We have been intensifying patrolling in the area. However arrival of new policemen who have joined after transfers has also been a problem. Our men are taking time to get their beats strengthened,” said a senior officer on Thursday.When contacted, Ashok Gupta, deputy commissioner of police(West), on the progress in the investigation in murder, cases, said, “ In all these cases we are very close. We have got concrete clues and assailants are on our radar. Even in the bank manager case we are progressing in the right direction.”In between the Jaipur (West) had unearthed some gangs involved in the arms peddling in the region. “We have been tracking their movements. Some of the arms dealers were arrested in the past. Hopefully, we will crack a whip on their movements in near future,” an officer added.Senior police officers attributed the rising crime to the increasing urbanization on Kalwar road, Kardhani and Jhotwara area. “The district West has usually reported cases in which prime motive behind the murder has been property dispute. In bank manager case the preliminary investigation is indicating the same,” said a senior officer.
