Youngsters raised concerns over a wide range of social issues - farmers suicide, prostitution, corruption, exploitation of women, awareness on sex education and excessive pressure of education on children - through their street plays on day three of University Maharani College 's annual youth fest ' Veethika 2019 ' in Jaipur.WINNERS: Students of University Maharani College staged a street play on crimes against womenOne of the participating groups at the nukkad natak competitionThe students played drums and clapped hands to urge people to watch their street plays. In no time, people gathered at the venue and were engrossed in the performances of the students. The dramatics team of University Maharani College secured the first position in the nukkad natak competition followed by the team of University Maharaja College.Paper dresses creatively made from recycled newspapers and colourful papersAnother event that caught the fancy of the students was the creative costume design competition where students exhibited their creative skills by designing outfits from newspapers.One of the participants performing Kalbeliya danceDay three of the fest came to an end with a solo and group dance competition, both in classical and folk categories. The stage came alive with different spectacular performances. The attractive costumes, fluid dance movements and fascinating props made it tough for the judges to decide the winner.
