One dead in clash after buffalo enters rivalrsquos farm

ALWAR: One person was killed and seven others were injured following a clash between two alleged groups of mining mafias on Sunday afternoon when one faction’s buffalo crossed over into the farms controlled by their arch rival. Each truck that passes through their territory has to pay the money to their henchman. “A few days ago Asu Khan’s aides had beaten up the tractor driver which belonged to Sahun group,” an official added.The police said that an FIR would be registered while it has detained some attackers. “Three women have also sustained injuries in the clash, the police sent deployment from nearby police station to bring situation under control,” an official informed TOI.The sources told TOI that for past many days these groups had been fighting over extortion and attacking each other’s workers.

DSP (Kama) Rai Singh Beniwal informed TOI that the incident happened at Mungaska village in Bharatpur district where two groups led by Asu Khan and Sahun had been at loggerheads for past many months.“The two factions control illegal mining operations in the area. Each truck that passes through their territory has to pay the money to their henchman. The tension is brewing between the two groups, but when one faction’s buffalo crossed over into another farm, it sparked massive tension,” Beniwal informed TOI.The police said that the two groups began pelting stones at each other when all of a sudden one of the accused took out his illegal firearm and fired at Fakru Khan who died on the spot. “Three women have also sustained injuries in the clash, the police sent deployment from nearby police station to bring situation under control,” an official informed TOI.The sources told TOI that for past many days these groups had been fighting over extortion and attacking each other’s workers. “A few days ago Asu Khan’s aides had beaten up the tractor driver which belonged to Sahun group,” an official added.The police said that an FIR would be registered while it has detained some attackers.
