2 minor boys run over by train near Sanganer

JAIPUR: In a tragic incident, two boys aged between 10 to 12 years, were killed after they were run over by a train near Sanganer area of the city on Thursday.The bodies are kept at a private medical college near Pratap Nagar. Damodar, a local resident and an eye-witness informed TOI that he had seen some young boys strolling near the railway tracks. Three managed to flee, leaving their bi-cycles while two were run over by the train. “We have recovered two bicycles on the railway tracks. The locomotive pilot kept the bodies inside the train and handed them over to the Sanganer police next station,” an official said.The police said that the initial investigation indicates that the kids had gone over the railway tracks with their bicycles.

JAIPUR: In a tragic incident, two boys aged between 10 to 12 years, were killed after they were run over by a train near Sanganer area of the city on Thursday.The bodies are kept at a private medical college near Pratap Nagar. “We are making efforts to identify the bodies; three of their friends had managed to escape from the spot,” said Sanganer SHO Lakhan Singh Khatana.The RPF official informed TOI that the incident took place around 11.45am when train number 12466 Jodhpur to Indore was passing through a bridge over Dravyavati River near Sanganer.“The train driver spotted about five kids on the bridge. Three managed to flee, leaving their bi-cycles while two were run over by the train. The locomotive pilot kept the bodies inside the train and handed them over to the Sanganer police next station,” an official said.The police said that the initial investigation indicates that the kids had gone over the railway tracks with their bicycles. “We have recovered two bicycles on the railway tracks. One was completely damaged in the accident,” Khatana said, adding that the control room has been informed about the unidentified bodies.Meanwhile, the accident spot was a scene of horror as mutilated bodies lay there with panicking residents looked around for other kids. Damodar, a local resident and an eye-witness informed TOI that he had seen some young boys strolling near the railway tracks.
